Freestyle Barracuda –
I like them and have no issues so far at all
It is very easy to use and it helps with my stroke technique. It also feels like I’m gliding on the water a little longer on every third stroke when I’m usually breathing out, too. I like them so far. I also had absolutely no difficult putting the tube in a hole. You want it to be a tight fit so it won’t easily undo itself while you are swimming and you only do it the one time before your first use so I really don’t agree with those reviewers who found this so challenging. I have other paddles with the longer rubber strap that secures the paddle better to the hand but I’ve had two of them break on me so I’m done with that model. I think this one will last a whole lot longer because it is just your middle finger that is going in the loop and the rest of your hand lies flat on the paddle. So far so good here. I wish they would make them in clear or less bright colors though. It does look a bit weird with these star trek looking paddles on the hands but that is just a small point really.

Thanks to whomever suggested stretching the tubing in both directions
Does what it says on the tin, or it feels like it anyway. I got these to help clean up my stroke and get a better feel for the water, and I can see how they might be able to do that after trying them out in the pool. The brilliant person who suggested stretching the tubing in both directions saved me a ton of trouble. I salute you! Using the properties of the tubing instead of trying to force it is the key. It didn’t require much force at all, but the fit was very snug once the tubing was in place.

These have significantly helped improve my form. I love the cut out for the wrist as it really helped me understand how to shape my hands and push the water efficiently. Very happy with this purchase!

So far so good. The straps are fine.
Just received these yesterday, so I can’t comment much on them yet; however, after one quick trial with them today, I can say that (a) they immediately helped me detect an inefficiency in my stroke (of which I’m sure there are several after many years away from the pool), and (b) installing the rubber straps was a piece of cake.
Judging from the difficulty that others have had with the rubber straps, I assume that Finis has made a change to improve the process. It took me all of about 20 seconds per strap. No problems at all.

Regarding the paddles themselves, they are awesome. They are helping me with my stoke greatly.
Regarding the install of the finger strap…My advice is to drink a beer or three, chill out, and find patience because these are a pain. I eventually threw them across the room in frustration. My wife saved the day. She had them installed in 5 min. Go figure.

Easy to use and I’m hoping they are improving my swim
Great paddles and easy to use. As others have stated, getting the rubber parts in is a challenge, but if you heat them up in hot water, they go in just fine (just tug hard at the start). I feel like the paddles are improving my stroke so worth the investment.
